A critical data center maintenance will begin Saturday January 25th, 6am through Sunday January 26th, 6pm. Classic Microsoft Teams will be unsupported starting July 1, 2024Planned Maintenance

Description

Users of Classic Microsoft Teams will start receiving a message that Classic Teams will be unsupported past July 1, 2024. For users whose devices are managed and updated by ITS, a new version of Teams will be pushed out within the next two weeks, as long as their devices meet the minimum Windows 10 operating system version of19041 or later. If a user's device does not meet the minimum operating system requirement to upgrade, they will receive a message stating "Classic Teams will soon be unsupported, and your OS needs to be updated to run the new Teams." If a user receives this message, they will need to contact BearHelp or their internal IT group to arrange to have the computer reimaged prior to July 1. Users not managed by ITS, with operating systems that meet the minimum requirement, will need to follow the Microsoft prompts to download the new version of Teams. Please note: Classic Teams will reach end of support on July 1, 2024, and end of availability on July 1, 2025.
